Assad Ghaemmaghami studied psychology and pedagogy at the University of Zurich and is a licensed psychotherapist and training analyst. Based on long term fieldwork with drug dependent youth, his doctoral thesis under Professor Konrad Widmer was titled Holistic Drug Therapy Model and Prevention Education.
In 1988, Dr. Ghaemmaghami founded the Psychological Institute for Peace Research and Peace Education and the Psychological Counseling and Research Institute for Sexuality, Marriage and Family, which over the years evolved into the International Academy for Human Sciences and Culture.
In more than 35 years of practice and conflict research he has acquired vast experience in psychology counselling, therapy, and particularly in conflict resolution. He also has extensive experience in the fields of business management and law.
Assad Ghaemmaghami is a Swiss citizen with Persian background. His working languages are German, English, French and Persian. He is the founder of three companies and three non-profit associations with presently over 160 members.
Dr. phil. Pearl La Marca-Ghaemmaghami is a psychologist and federally recognized psychotherapist and is also a member of the board of the Association for the Promotion of the International Academy of Human Sciences and Culture. She holds a PhD in Neuroscience.
She completed her studies at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Zurich with the distinction "summa cum laude".
She worked for several years as senior assistant and post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at the University of Zurich. She was also a member of the psychotherapeutic team of the Outpatient Clinic for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Behavioral Medicine for several years, where she was the operational head of the psychological consultation and liaison service for the obstetrics and neonatology departments at the University Hospital of Zurich.
Dr. Pearl La Marca-Ghaemmaghami is a Swiss national with American and Persian background. Her working languages are German and her native language is English. Italian and French are added as additional language skills.
Catherine Ghaemmaghami has contributed significantly to the founding and development of the International Academy of Humanities and Culture and plays a significant role in program development. She enjoys devoting herself to the creation of educational and training materials and expressing the theory of the Psychology of the Capacity to Know and to Love through various artistic means, often in collaboration with her children. Catherine Ghaemmaghami has a strong interest in promoting intercultural understanding, intercultural appreciation, and peace education.
Dr. Roberto La Marca is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the International Academy of Human Sciences and Culture. He received his PhD from the University of Zurich (Psychology and Neuroscience) in 2009. Since then, he has worked as a research associate at University College London, ETH Zurich, and the University of Zurich, where he has been a senior lecturer since 2011. He also has worked for many years at the Outpatient Clinic for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Behavioral Medicine at the University of Zurich. Besides his research interest in the biopsychological effects of risk and protective factors, he is interested in nature, travel, music, cooking, tennis, his family and friends.
Lina Dürr is an experienced teacher's aide, remedial teacher and certified psychological-pedagogical consultant and is strongly committed to children, parents and the accompaniment and training of professionals. In this capacity, she actively participates in all projects of the International Academy of Human Sciences and Culture and is also a board member.
Madeleine Gabathuler is a board member of the Support Association of the International Academy for Human Sciences and Culture, a certified psychological-educational consultant, former kindergarten teacher and former school councilor. She has years of experience as a professional counselor and is pedagogically active in difficult school situations. She uses the tool of creativity in her work and finds much meaning in the daily experience of life.

MLaw Páyá Ghaemmaghami is a patented lawyer admitted to the bar throughout all cantons of Switzerland. He is a member of the board of the Support Association of the International Academy of Human Sciences and Culture, author of a historical book ("The unarmed Spearhead, Combat Gliders in World War II"). Páyá Ghaemmaghami takes great interest in psychology, law, history, art, and music. He is a dedicated member of the Academy team and a major contributor to the Academy's presentations.
Páyá Ghaemmaghami studied at the Law Faculty of the University of Zurich, obtained a Master of Law with the distinction "magna cum laude", then worked for one of the largest corporate law firms in Switzerland (mainly in the field of intellectual property and corporate law) and has been a member of the team at Swiss Law Solutions since October 2017.
Páyá Ghaemmaghami is a Swiss citizen with American and Persian background. His working languages are German and his mother tongue English. Páyá Ghaemmaghami is a member of the Swiss Bar Association, the St. Gallen Bar Association, and the International Bar Association. He is registered in the attorney register of the Canton of St. Gallen (with legal effect for all of Switzerland).

Tukuwe Ghaemmaghami-Kahuly studied at the Law School of the University of Lay Adventists of Kigali, Rwanda, worked for several years in the Secretariat of the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of Rwanda, and then served for several years in the Finance Department of the Bahá'í World Center in Haifa, Israel.
